Our client is currently seeking an IT Procurement Analyst to join their organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact with vendors and foster internal and external relationships.
- Lead sourcing activities for vendor selection, including Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and competitive bidding.
- Conduct due diligence and evaluation processes for current and potential vendors.
- Manage procurement activities, including negotiating prices and contract terms.
- Oversee vendor management functions, ensuring continuous vendor review according to Vendor Management Office policies.
- Supervise overall performance oversight in line with contractual, accreditation, and regulatory compliance.
- Assess current and potential vendor relationships to identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities. Outline key action steps to capture and implement these savings.
- Handle contract management with vendors, Legal, Risk Management, IT Enterprise Architecture, and Business Owners; this may include negotiating agreements, exhibits, statements of work, and pricing; act as a liaison for drafting RFP/RFI processes along with evaluating and selecting service providers.
- Monitor and provide comprehensive oversight of Vendor Lifecycle Management as outlined in corporate and departmental policies, as well as accreditation, contractual, and regulatory requirements, through regular review and follow-up on vendor performance metrics.
- Coordinate efforts between the company and service providers to ensure expectations are met or exceeded; promote transparency and partnership through formal meetings and knowledge sharing.
- Continuously review and adjust contract terms to align with corporate objectives and overall spending.
- Perform vendor risk assessments, scoring, and ongoing program evaluation as required by the Vendor Management Office Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Develop control reporting by compiling, analyzing, and reviewing data, and providing critical technology vendor information to management.
- Create and maintain SOPs for the functions of Sourcing, Procurement, and Vendor Management.
- Participate in or lead the testing, correction, and revision of SOPs.
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline preferred.
- 6+ years of direct work experience in a vendor management role, including aspects of vendor management strategy development and execution.
- Experience in overseeing the design, development, and/or implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
